Carson Riley
Goes Back to Back with Win on the Delta!
The
halfway point of the Scbbbc tournament circuit kicked off on a beautiful
morning at Whites Slough on the California Delta. 34 anglers blasted
off for a day of bass slaying competition and high hopes of big limits
and big fish. But big fish and big limits were not in the fishing gods
plans this day! Only 3 limits were weighed in and the biggest fish of
the day was a mere 6 pounds out of a place that last year produced 9’s
and 8’s to more then a few anglers. When it was all said and done
it was Carson Riley with his second win on the season and back to back
wins at that. Carson flipped his way to a five fish limit of 15.50 pounds.
Congratulations Carson! 2nd place was Dave Sternitzke with a limit of
15.50 pounds. 3rd place went to Dave Brown with a limit of 8.98 pounds.
4th place was Mike Ayers with 8.18 pounds and topping out the top five
in 5th place was Rolo Villanueva with 7.30 pounds and tournament big
fish that weighed in at 6.01 pounds. Thanks to everyone that showed
up to fish and the officers for running a good show. We also like to
say thanks to two new angler’s fishing with us for the first time
Joe Agrillo and Albert Battaglia. Thanks to CatchemCaro Baits for their
donation to the event. See you all at Lake Sonoma in July.
With
5 tournaments in the books and the half waypoint of the season the Angler
of the Year race has Mike Ayers 1st at 246 points, Matt Nyiri 2nd at
210 points and Dave Sternitzke 3rd at 200 points. The Rookie of the
Year race has Chris lapoint leading with 191 points, Mario Ugenti with
189 points and Anthony Monraz with 151 points.
